Serial killer confessed to 90 murders, says 7 were in Georgia

He reportedly confessed to 90 murders across the U.S. from 1970 to 2005, but as more information leaks out, it appears that one of the country’s most prolific serial killers killed seven of those people in Georgia.

Sam Little, 78, confessed to murdering women from 1970 to 2005. The FBI reports Little confessed and is sitting in prison in Texas. Two cold cases in Georgia have already shown connection to Little and law enforcement officials are working to see if Little’s information matches up to five others he claims.

“Little chose to kill marginalized and vulnerable women who were often involved in prostitution and addicted to drugs. Their bodies sometimes went unidentified and their deaths uninvestigated,” according to the report.

WSBtv reports:

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that one victim was killed in 1977 and another in 1982. In the 1982 case, a woman’s body was found in the backyard of a Macon home. She had been strangled.

Police identified her as Fredonia Smith. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says Little gave them specific details and information” linking him to both slayings, and Smith’s family was notified about the new developments.

Investigators were also able to link Little to the death of a Jane Doe in Dade County in 1980 or 1981. According to Little, he met the woman, a black female between 25-30 years old, in Chattanooga before killing her in Dade County.

Reportedly, three others were reported in Atlanta while two murders supposedly took place in Savannah.

Little was serving a life sentence in California when he was contacted by Texas investigators. Little confessed to law enforcement officials from Texas.

Ted Bundy confessed to 30 homicides in four years and John Wayne Gacy killed at least 33 people in the 1970s.
