Trion Football holds season ending banquet

Trion Football Coaches hosted a banquet Thursday night to recognize the players who made 2015 a successful season. The Bulldogs went 8-3, with big wins coming against rival Gordon Lee which will be a region game next year, a 61-0 shutout of King’s Ridge Christian, and a win in the first round of the state playoffs.

There were many certificates for all area, all sub region, letter winners and participation certificates awarded during the banquet. Senior players were awarded with footballs and Drake Clowdis was the recipient of the Stacey Searels award.

Coach Justin Brown reflected on the season, “I’m extremely proud of this football team. We had great leadership and a great commitment from our seniors, and they set the tone for  the rest of the team.”
