Sonoraville’s Thomas grabs State Championship at HS Rodeo Finals

Last week Tate Thomas, 10th grader at SHS, competed at the Georgia High School Rodeo State Finals in Perry, GA.  At the conclusion of the competition, Tate was named the Champion All Around Cowboy for the state.

He ended the year 2nd in steer wrestling, 3rd in tie down roping, and 4th in team roping.  He will represent Georgia, and SHS, at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, WY in July.
