SEGA: Construction & maintenance activities scheduled this week

Here’s where you’ll see slow downs and detours this week –>

Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Southeast Georgia. Major projects of interest that will likely impact traffic this week are listed below.

All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Lane closures are listed below by interstates and counties.

Interstate 95

I-95 in Camden County and Nassau County, Florida
Six intermittent traffic paces
 starting 9 p.m. lasting 15-20 minutes each
Traffic will be paced at 20 mph for bridge beam placement at Exit 6
Monday night NB starting in Florida at Exit 380
Wednesday night SB starting at Milepost 16

I-95 from MP 87-68 in Bryan and Liberty Counties
Single Lane Closures
Sunday through Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

I-95 in Liberty County
Single lane closures for vegetation removal
Monday – Friday

Bacon County
SR 32 Over Little Hurricane Creek
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

Brantley County
SR 23 Over Little Satilla Rive
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

SR 520 Over Satilla River
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

SR 144-Widening Project

Bryan/Chatham
SR 25 Over Ogeechee River
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

Bulloch County
Old Register Rd. to Harville Rd.
Single lane closure for shoulder rehabilitation and pavement marking upgrades
Monday through Sunday 8:30 am to 5 pm

Bulloch/Candler
SR 404/I-16 SR 67 Overpass to Candler/Emmanuel County Line
Single lane closure for roadway joint sealing and striping
Monday through Sunday 7 am to 7 pm

Camden/Glynn
SR 25 Over Little Satilla River
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

Chatham County
US80 on Tybee Island Causeway at Lazaretto Creek Bridge
Monday and Tuesday nights 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Flagging operation to remove erosion control measure used during maintenance projects.

Island Expressway – Oatland Island Road to Elba Island Road
Single lane closures for bridge replacement project
Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

SR 25 Conn/West Bay Street
Continuous traffic shift on westbound outside lane

SR 25/W. Oglethorpe Avenue between MLK and Ann Street
Permitted closures as needed for building construction through Nov. 8
Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

SR 21 Northbound from SR 30 to near Effingham County line
Shoulder closure Monday thru Thursday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Maintenance work on ditch drainage

Evans/Bryan
SR 30 Over Canoochee River
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

Glynn County
SR 303 Over Turtle River
Single lane closure for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

SR 19 RR Overpass
Detour via SR 135 and SR 135 Conn.
Anticipated completion 2020

Telfair County
SR 27 Over Sugar Creek
Single lane closures for repainting of bridge beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

Ware County
SR 158 between Hutch Lane and Barnes Road
Road closure for three bridges to be replaced
anticipated open to traffic spring/summer 2020
