Fire Investigators with the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office have determined a fire that occurred around 8:30 A.M. on Monday, January 13, at a Burke County residence, was intentionally set.
The fire was set under the double-wide mobile home located at 9990 Hwy 305 in Keysville, Georgia. “The 1,836 square-foot mobile home suffered extensive interior damages. No one was living in the residence at the time,” said Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King. “Thankfully, Burke County emergency officials were able to quickly extinguish the fire before it consumed the entire residence.”
Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King is asking anyone with knowledge about this fire to call the Fire Investigations Unit at 1‐800‐282‐5804.
Rewards are offered of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the arsonist(s). Calls are taken 24 hours a day and callers can choose to remain anonymous. Fire Investigators with the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office are assisting the Burke County Emergency Management Agency and the Burke County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation
