Susan Locklear, of Summerville Main Street and Cindy Rivers, of the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce recently sent out an email to Merchants and Property Owners asking them to “dress up” ahead of the Crossroads Exhibit.
The Smithsonian Museum on Main Street Exhibit: Crossroads: Change in Rural America, will be in Summerville from March 7- April 18, 2020. This Exhibit will be located at 119 East Washington Street, inside the Historic Summerville Depot. In the six week span, based on the attendance that other sites have experienced, there will be anywhere from 4,500—7,620 visitors frequenting this site; Summerville is one of six sites selected for this Exhibit in Georgia.
In the email, Summerville Main Street Director Susan Locklear says, “We want to “dress-up” for company in our county and especially in our downtown, putting our best face on display. As we look throughout our community, each of us can see a need for improvements; little changes can make a big difference. This event has potential for growing your business and encouraging others to locate here as well.”
To give you more information on this exhibit and to answer any questions that you may have on special events planned around the exhibit, there will be a meeting in the Summerville City Hall Council Room on Tuesday, February 4th at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and pastries will be served.
