Charleston gets the best of Rome 8-5 in hitfest

A rough outing from Ricardo Sanchez would give the Riverdogs all the runs they would need to put away the Braves at State Mutual Stadium Saturday night.

Sanchez gave up six runs – all earned – on eight hits, including a homer in five innings of work.  The bullpen would give up two more runs, in the 8-5 loss.  Rome and Charleston combined for 25 hits and 13 runs in the game.
