The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) has announced its endorsement of six Georgia Congressmen and one Republican candidate seeking to represent Georgia’s 7th Congressional district.
CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization with the mission to “support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.”
The PAC endorsed:
- Congressman Rick Allen (GA-12.)
- Congressman Austin Scott (GA-8)
- Congressman Buddy Carter (GA-1)
- Congressman Drew Ferguson (GA-3)
- Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10)
- Congressman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11)
- Rich McCormick for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in GA-7
CCAGW PAC based its endorsements of incumbents on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2019 Congressional Ratings. For challengers, the endorsements are based on answers to the CCAGW PAC questionnaire.
- Rep. Loudermilk’s lifetime rating is 98%;
- Rep. Hice’s lifetime rating is 97%;
- Rep. Allen’s lifetime rating is 95%;
- Rep. Carter’s lifetime rating is 94%;
- Rep. Ferguson’s lifetime rating is 93%, and
- Rep. Austin’s lifetime rating is 90%.
The PAC also said each has earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero.” Reps. Carter and Loudermilk had a perfect 100 percent rating in 2019 and 2015, respectively, earning both a “Taxpayer Super Hero” award.
Rich McCormick’s answers to the CCAGW PAC questionnaire qualified him for endorsement.
“During their tenures in the House, Reps. Allen, Austin, Carter, Ferguson, Hice, and Loudermilk have all been strong and reliable votes to curb government waste and reform Washington, and Rich McCormick would be another strong voice for taxpayers,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of the members’ impressive voting records, they worked with their colleagues to enact historic tax cuts, support deregulation, and help ignite America’s economic boom. I urge their constituents to re-elect them to Congress and for voters in Rich McCormick’s district to elect him to Congress.”
