SE Ga Road Work: Weekly Traffic Interruption Advisory August 7 – 13

Georgia DOT continues essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia.  As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, August 7 through Friday, August 13.

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling thru work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Traffic interruptions are listed below by interstates, categories, and counties.

Interstate 16

Bulloch, Bryan, Effingham and Chatham Counties

SR67 to I-95                  

Lane closures for asphalt shoulder paving

Friday, Aug 6 and Friday Aug 13

From Milepost 126 to 142, 6am to 7pm & 7pm to 6am

 

I-16 Exits 143, 137, 132, 127, 152 

Ramp closure for resurfacing asphalt shoulders

Nightly 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. (one ramp closure at a time)

Fully signed detours installed nightly

Detour: proceed to next exit, cross over interchange,

opposite direction on I-16, for interchange access

 

Interstate 516

Chatham County

I-516 EB Exit 4 Off Ramp                                                           

Ramp Closure for Concrete Slab Replacement

Beginning Friday, Aug 6 at 7pm through 5am Monday, Aug 9

Detour: Exit 4 Eastbound Traffic will use Exit 3 turning left onto

Ogeechee Rd then left onto Tremont Rd.
