Gov. Kemp Issues Statement on IRS Attempts to Monitor Checking Accounts

“This ridiculous power grab by the Biden Administration is only their latest attempt to hurt businesses and undermine the constitutional rights of hardworking Georgians,” said Governor Kemp.

Atlanta, GA – Governor Brian P. Kemp today issued a statement on the Internal Revenue Service’s plans to scrutinize Americans’ checking accounts, a potential invasion of taxpayer privacy. Today the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Bankers Association also issued a joint statement in opposition to the provision.

“This ridiculous power grab by the Biden Administration is only their latest attempt to hurt businesses and undermine the constitutional rights of hardworking Georgians,” said Governor Kemp. “There is absolutely no reason for the federal government to have the ability to monitor nearly every checking account in the country. This is a reckless invasion of privacy and a gut punch to community banks, small businesses, and large banking institutions alike.”

This bill has been in the works prior to the Boden administration. Stop pointing fingers and just say it’s not a good thing.

I totally agree with Governor Kemp! This should not happen and the U.S. government should stay out of private business between a bank and it’s customers!

American’s have been working all there lives. We should come first. We should take care of our veterans. And American people who are sick first. I am against making the shots. My sister can’t take the flu shot. She it makes her very sick. She is a Nursing home they want let her out just to get an ice cream or ride around. She feels like she is in prison for the last two years. Governor Kemp please stand up for the people of Georgia. I pray God’s wisdom for you and your representatives.

They are now penalizing Veterans if you receive a disability pension from the V.A. they will deduct what you get from SSI. I’m entitled to both. This Administration has turned its back on Veterans the very ones that were disabled serving a once grateful Nation. NOT ANYMORE SINCE BIDEN TOOK OVER. SHAMEFUL

.& citizens need to wake up before it all slips through our hands.
