Trion Football’s leading receiver is out for the remainder of the season. Senior Linkin Farrar suffered an injury at the BEST game this past Friday. Farrar’s injury resulted in a broken collar bone and he underwent surgery on Wednesday to put in a corrective plate.
This season Farrar had 21 catches for 362 yards, averaged 17.24 yards per catch, with four touchdowns.
“I’m heartbroken for Linkin. He’s has worked so hard, and has become an excellent player. The worst part of my job is seeing kids get hurt. Linkin is an amazing kid, and he’ll bounce back from this. He told me that he’s ready to coach now. He’s still going to do everything he can possibly do to help this football team. He’s an incredible leader and embodies the phrase F.A.M.I.L.Y.,” Bulldog Head Coach Sean Patrick told AllOnGeorgia.
His junior season Farrar had 23 catches for 214 yards.
Farrar plans to still be involved with the team helping coach receivers.
