GDOT: Ramp & Interstate Closure Advisory for the I-16 at I-95 Improvement Projects Through November 29

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will close the ramp and interstate lanes at the location below for the 16@95 Improvement Projects, which will widen I-16 and reconstruct the I-16/I-95 Interchange. The lane and ramp closures are necessary for work on the new I-16/I-95 Interchange bridges, widening activities for I-16, and bridge work at the I-16/I-516 Interchange.

Motorists traveling on I-516 eastbound should take the I-16 westbound ramp (Exit 5, I-16 towards Macon), then exit at Chatham Parkway (Exit 162), turn right off the ramp, then turn left to access I-16 eastbound.

Holiday work restrictions will be in place beginning Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 5 a.m. until Monday, November 29, 2021, at 11 p.m. No lane closures or work that restricts or interferes with traffic will be conducted during this time frame.
