Lockdown at Mill Creek Elementary School has ended
Law enforcement have adult suspect in custody
The precautionary lockdown at Mill Creek Elementary School ended at 12:24 p.m. Students and employees continue to be safe and school will continue as normal.
We appreciate the support of local law enforcement, especially the Statesboro Police Department and the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, who have the adult suspect in custody. Thank you as well for the cooperation of employees and parents.
An adult, who was not at the school, made a terroristic threat against a Mill Creek Elementary School employee. The incident was immediately reported to the Statesboro Police Department who continues to have charge of the investigation.

Mill Creek Elementary placed on lockdown
Police investigating threat made against an employee by an adult not on campus
Students and employees are safe; however, as a safety precaution, Bulloch County Schools has placed Mill Creek Elementary School on temporary lockdown this morning and law enforcement officers are on site.
Please do not come to the school or request to pick up children at this time. Please monitor notifications from the school district for further details as to when the lockdown has ended.
During the lockdown, please help keep lines of communication open by not contacting the school office or school personnel by telephone.
