Chattooga County Schools adopt hybrid schedule

The new schedule will allow for two distance learning days each week on Monday and Friday, and three face-to-face days each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Beginning Monday, January 24, 2022, all Chattooga County Schools will transition to a hybrid schedule to slow the spread of COVID in our schools. The new schedule will allow for two distance learning days each week on Monday and Friday, and three face-to-face days each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This schedule will be in effect from Monday, January 24, 2022, through Monday, February 14, 2022. Friday, February 18, 2022, and Monday, February 21, 2022, are already scheduled student holidays.

The Board of Education along with system administration will re-assess the schedule at its February 17, 2022, meeting.

All students will have assignments to complete for Monday, January 24, 2022, and parents can expect communication from their child’s school on Tuesday with learning instructions for the following Monday and Friday distance learning days. Chromebooks will be sent home with students when necessary to complete digital lessons and “live” virtual instruction.

Beginning Monday, January 24, 2022, meals will be available for pick-up at each school location from 11am -1pm. The meals will be available each Monday and Friday during this scheduled calendar change, except for student holidays Friday, February 18, 2022, and Monday, February 21, 2022.

If you have questions, please contact your child’s school.
