Fountain sentenced to 20 years

Stacy R. Floyd Fountain was sentenced today in Chattooga County Superior Court to a total of twenty years with the first four to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. 

Stacy R. Floyd Fountain was sentenced today in Chattooga County Superior Court to a total of twenty years with the first four to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation.

Upon the service of four years the remainder of the Fountain’s sentence may be served on probation, provided that she complies with the condition of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

From Court documents:  The Defendant (Fountain) shall pay restitution in the amount of $78,770.00 to the Probation Office for the benefit of the City of Summerville Police Department at 170 Cox Street, Summerville GA, 30747. The Defendant shall also pay $17,900.00 restitution to the Probation Office for the benefit of Gallagher Bassett Insurance. Priority shall be given to the City of Summerville Police Department no funds shall be distributed to Gallagher Bassett Insurance until restitution to the City of Summerville is paid in full.

On Monday, March 2, 2020 the Chattooga County Grand Jury indicted Stacy R. Floyd Fountain on seven felony counts: four counts of theft by taking, two counts of theft by conversion and one count of violation of oath by public officer.
