Chattooga’s Chief selected as a Finalist for High Five for Teacher

What an incredible honor.

Chattooga High School teacher, Robert “Chief” Robertson, is one of the five finalists for this year’s High Five for Teacher of the Year a contest held by Fox 5 Atlanta.

Chattooga County High School’s Robert Robinson went from the Marines to the police force to teaching students about criminal justice. He says his goal as a teacher is to ‘save a world’ by making a difference in the lives of his students.

The Fox 5 crew traveled to Summerville, Ga to interview Chief in his classroom at Chattooga High School.

The High Five Teacher of the Year program invites viewers to nominate deserving high school teachers and share what makes these teachers exceptional. Five finalists are then selected by Fox 5’s Good Day producers to be recognized and featured in a special segment on Good Day Atlanta. Each finalist also receives a special plaque and $500 from Montlick & Associates.

Once all High 5 for Teachers finalists have been recognized, the public votes to determine which teacher is the grand prize winner. Montlick & Associates will donate $2,500 to the winning teacher’s school.
