Man Charged With Aggravated Assault for Shooting on Bobby Donaldson Avenue

Akeino Dickerson, the suspect wanted for the recent shooting on Bobby Donaldson Avenue, surrendered himself to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office before being transported to the Bulloch County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Cocaine.

Akeino Dickerson, the individual wanted for the 10/23/24 shooting on Bobby Donaldson Avenue, surrendered himself to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office on 10/27/24. Dickerson was transported back to the Bulloch County Jail where he is currently housed awaiting further judicial action. Dickerson is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Cocaine. On 10/23/24 at 8:50 pm SPD officers responded to the area of Bobby Donaldson Avenue in Statesboro for a female who had been shot. Officers located the 24 year old female victim and rendered aid until she could be transported by EMS to East Georgia Regional. The victim was later flown to Memorial in Savannah where she was treated and released.

Detectives responded and determined that the female had been shot by her former boyfriend, Akeino Dickerson (41, Bobby Donaldson Avenue, Statesboro). A search warrant was served at Dickerson’s residence by SPD’s SWAT Team and vital evidence was recovered by detectives in the subsequent search. Dickerson was not found at that location. He is currently wanted for Aggravated Assault. Anyone with information on Dickerson’s location is encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency or SPD directly.
