Chattooga’s Zayden Cook Named Offensive Player of the Year at Inaugural Score Atlanta Awards

Congratulations to Zayden Cook on an unforgettable season and a well-deserved honor!

Chattooga High School’s Zayden Cook was honored as the Offensive Player of the Year at the inaugural Score Atlanta Georgia High School Football and Flag Awards Banquet, held Sunday afternoon at Teamsters Local Union 728.

The event recognized top performers across Georgia high school football, presenting awards for all-classification offensive and defensive teams, as well as individual honors for categories such as Kicker of the Year, Breakout Players of the Year, and statistical leaders in rushing, receiving, and passing. Additionally, Coaches of the Year were named for each classification, alongside Assistant Coaches of the Year for tackling football.

Cook capped off an extraordinary season as Georgia’s leading rusher, amassing 2,939 total yards while averaging 267.2 yards per game and 8.99 yards per carry on 327 attempts. His highlights include a 99-yard long run and an impressive 33 touchdowns, solidifying his status as one of the state’s premier athletes.
