The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners recognized Mister 800 at Tuesday’s meeting by reading and presenting a proclamation in his honor.
The Commissioners joined Chairman Roy Thompson as he read the proclamation highlighting the career achievements of Statesboro High School Head Basketball Coach Lee Hill.
Hill is the winningest active high school basketball coach in the state of Georgia and is in his 39th year at the helm of the SHS basketball program. During his tenure, the team has won more than 800 games, appeared in 25 Region Championship games, won 14 Region Championships, advanced to the State Playoffs 29 times, appeared in the State Final Four five times, finished as State Runner-Up once, and finished as State Champion once.
Statesboro High School dedicated the basketball court to him in 2016 as well.
Coach Hill was joined by his wife and daughter as he received the proclamation.
