Rome survives Greenville rally for 6-5 Independence Day win

The near capacity crowd at State Mutual Stadium on Independence Day didn’t have to wait for the post-game fireworks to see explosions, as the Braves’ bats churned out a dozen hits in Rome’s 6-5 win over Greenville. Atlanta reliever Eric O’Flaherty got an inning of work, starting for Rome in a perfect inning of work. O’Flaherty stuck out two in the top of the first.

The near capacity crowd at State Mutual Stadium on Independence Day didn’t have to wait for the post-game fireworks to see explosions, as the Braves’ bats churned out a dozen hits in Rome’s 6-5 win over Greenville.

Atlanta reliever Eric O’Flaherty got an inning of work, starting for Rome in a perfect inning of work.  O’Flaherty stuck out two in the top of the first.

Max Fried put in a solid four innings, keeping the Drive scoreless on four hits, striking out six, and only walking on batter.

Every single batter who came to the plate for Rome managed a hit in the game.  Austin Riley and Carlos Castro both got two RBI’s each.  Ray-Patrick Didder, and Jonathan Morales also had an RBI each in the game.
