CSU ready to outfit all of their sports teams in Nike gear

Just do it, Cougars!

Columbus State University has announced a transaction with BSN SPORTS that will put Cougar athletes on 13 intercollegiate teams in Nike footwear, apparel and uniforms starting in the 2018-19 academic year.

Athletic Director Todd Reeser said this move will also promote and elevate CSU brand.

“We are thrilled to officially partner with Nike through BSN Sports in providing our teams and student-athletes with uniforms and footwear as they continue to represent Columbus State University at the highest levels of NCAA Division II competition,” Reeser said in a news release on Wednesday.

Most CSU teams already wear Nike and this agreement will provide consistency in brand and style that recruits will identify with and student-athletes will benefit from on a daily basis, Reeser said. The partnership is part of the BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which wants to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment.

“This agreement with Columbus State affirms our highest aspirations for BSN’s Collegiate Select program: delivering elite, customized products and services to our college customers,” said Bill Stote, Collegiate Select Vice President. “We are excited to partner with the Cougars to elevate the performance and impact of their top-notch and growing athletic program.”

The agreement includes incentives in the form of discounts and rewards along with incentives for on-field achievements and additional marketing and promotional opportunities. The CSU club football and men’s lacrosse teams will also benefit from the new agreement.

Columbus State University features 13 NCAA sanctioned sports and two spirit programs that compete in the Peach Belt Conference. The Cougars are six-time PBC Commissioner’s Cup winners and have combined to win 106 PBC Championships and 16 National Championships.
