Downtown Statesboro’s First Friday Event Fiesta de Mayo May 3

In celebration of Latin culture and Cinco de Mayo, Downtown Statesboro Development Authority is partnering with CORE Credit Union to host the First Friday event Fiesta de Mayo this Friday, May 3, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

“This event is the perfect way to bring the different cultures within our community together for a fun night downtown,” said Allen Muldrew, Executive Director for the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority. “Fiesta de Mayo is one you don’t want to miss!”

Vendors will be set up on the courthouse lawn and sidewalks, as well as food trucks, a bouncy house, a pop up park, a mobile photo booth, and more. DJ Randy will provide a variety of Spanish music. Fix-it-Fridays will be on hand  in the BIG alley this week with a garden tool repair booth.

East Main Street will be closed to traffic 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
