There will be a community memorial service in April to honor all Bulloch County residents lost to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Statesboro Ministerial Association, Statesboro City Council, and Bulloch County Board of Commissioners will be hosting the service, which will include remarks from Mayor Jonathan McCollar and Bulloch County Board of Commissioners Chairman Roy Thompson, scripture readings from local ministers, musical performances, and a tolling of the bells.
The service will be held on Sunday, April 11, marking one year since the first recorded death of a Bulloch County resident attributed to COVID-19, at 4:00 P.M. on the courthouse lawn.
Masks will be required and social distancing measures will be in place.
