GaDOT Update on Long-Term Closure on Tremont Road for the I-16 at I-95 Improvement Projects

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will implement a long-term closure on a portion of Tremont Road under I-16 as part of the 16/95 Interchange Improvement Projects. This closure will allow crews to advance work on the replacement of the I-16 bridges.

A portion of Tremont Road between Telfair Road and Safety First Road was scheduled to be closed Wednesday, June 1, 2022, through Friday, May 31, 2023. Georgia DOT has released an update on the beginning closure date – Due to scheduling conflicts, time frame for road closure reference below has been rescheduled for Friday, June 3 or Monday, June 6, weather permitting.
