Statesboro Man Arrested for Armed Robbery at Quality Inn on South Main

Frank Mitchell was arrested Friday for an armed robbery that occurred on December 11 at the Quality Inn on South Main Street in Statesboro.

From SPD:

On 12/11/24 at 9:11 pm SPD officers responded to the Quality Inn at 230 South Main Street for an armed robbery which had just occurred. The clerk reported that a male had entered the office and robbed him of cash. A vehicle believed to be associated with the suspect was towed and searched by detectives, yielding clues to the suspect’s identity. Video surveillance from the Quality Inn further aided in the investigation and a warrant was issued for Frank Mitchell (41, Hwy 301 S, Statesboro) for one count of Armed Robbery.

On 12/13/24 two SPD Patrol officers observed Mitchell on Fair Rd and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Bulloch County Jail where he remains pending further judicial action.
