Statesboro Police Dept Investigating Homicide at Cambridge the Pines

Detectives with the Statesboro Police Department are investigating after a 19 year-old man, Cameron Anderson, was shot at Cambridge the Pines apartments on Lanier Drive Monday night. Anderson was transported to EGRMC, but died from his wounds.

From SPD:

On 4/17/22 at 7:54 p.m. SPD officers and detectives responded to 122 Lanier Drive (Cambridge the Pines ) for shots fired at that location. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19 year old Cameron Anderson shot. Anderson was transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center where he died from his wounds .

Detectives spent the remainder of the night processing the scene, which extended into the neighboring Cambridge the Palms , and interviewing witnesses. At this point, they believe that many more witnesses exist within the heavily populated complex. It is critical at this point for these witnesses to come forward and assist in the investigation.
