Swainsboro Man Arrested for Assault After Shots Fired at Southern Villas in Statesboro

A domestic dispute Friday evening at Southern Villas on Chandler Road in Statesboro led to shots being fired and the suspect fleeing on foot. The suspect, identified as Shamar Littles, had fired shots from a handgun at his girlfriend and her father. Littles was located in Swainsboro on Monday. He was arrested and transported back to the Bulloch County Jail where he is awaiting further judicial action.

On 1/6/23 at 7:11 p.m. SPD Patrol officers responded to Southern Villas on Chandler Road for a domestic dispute which had led to shots being fired. Officers discovered no one injured when they arrived but did note damage to two apartment units from the gunfire. The suspect, Shamar Littles (22, Swainsboro, Ga), had fired shots from a handgun at his girlfriend and her father after which he fled the complex on foot. Detectives responded to begin the criminal investigation.

After an extensive search of the area for Littles, detectives issued arrest warrants for him for Aggravated Assault. On 1/9/23, Littles was located and arrested in Swainsboro and transported back to the Bulloch County Jail for processing. He remains there pending further judicial action.
