Three men were arrested in Statesboro Tuesday after officers responded to a call about shots fired at Park Place Apartments. All three were charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, and Reckless Conduct. One was also charged with Battery-Family Violence. No one was injured in the incident.

On 6/28/22 at 4:39 PM, SPD officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in Park Place Apartments on Lanier Drive. Upon arrival, officers and detectives secured the scene and discovered no one injured. Subsequent investigation linked the exchange of gunfire to an earlier domestic dispute at another location. The parties related to the participants in the domestic dispute chose to confront one another in Park Place using firearms. Subsequent searches of two different locations led to the arrest of three individuals for the exchange of gunfire and to the recovery of four firearms.
The defendants are as follows:
1. Frederick Watkins (50, Somerset Townhomes, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count of Reckless Conduct, 1 count of Battery-Family Violence
2. Victor Bolden (20, Park Place Apartments, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count Terroristic Threats, and 1 count of Reckless Conduct
3. Dakwan Marshall (21, Park Place Apartments, Statesboro): 1 count Aggravated
Assault, 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, 1
count of Reckless Conduct
