Bulloch Schools Reminds Parents: GA allots funds for families of children with special needs; Apply for reimbursements by May 14

Bulloch County Schools is reminding parents about the allotted funds for reimbursements for families of children with special needs. The application deadline is May 14. 

Governor Brian Kemp and the Georgia Department of Education have opened applications for the Families of Children with Special Needs Reimbursement through May 14, 2021. Learn more about how to apply via the links below.

The 2020-21 school year has been very different for our students and parents, particularly for students with special needs.  Families have had to face many challenges, some requiring out-of-pocket expenses that were unplanned. Governor Kemp and the Georgia Department of Education recognized this hardship.They have set aside funds for families to apply for reimbursement of specific expenses.

The links below will take interested families to information and resources about the reimbursement program and how to apply. These funds cannot be requested through Bulloch County Schools. Questions may be directed to this email address at the Georgia Department of Education

Parent Satisfaction Survey
The Georgia Department of Education is very interested in how families of children with special needs think state and district special education programs support their children. Please include your feedback in the annual Parent Involvement Survey for Georgia families raising a student with a disability.
