Two Bulloch County elementary school students have received this years Chloe Moon Dart Art Scholarship. Blakely Brown of Nevils Elementary and Ava Rooker of Sallie Zetterower Elementary received the scholarship. They will able to attend their choice of week long summer camps at the Averitt Center for the Arts.

The Chloe Moon Dart Scholarship is given in memory of Chloe Moon Dart, a ten year old who passed away in November of 2013 in a horse riding accident. Dart was a 4th grader at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School, and the youngest member of the Art Club at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School.
The Scholarship which is in it’s fourth year of existence is presented to a 4th graders that attend Elementary School in Bulloch County. The recipients are chosen by the school’s art teacher. The Scholarship has been given to recipients from Sallie Zetterower Elementary, Nevils Elementary, and Mattie Lively Elementary in the past. The Family expresses the hope that the scholarship will eventually be expand the scholarship to include all of the elementary schools with in Bulloch County. Sponsors of the scholarship include the Ogeechee Lodge, Josh Tucker Law Firm, Franklin Chevrolet, and GATA Recovery.
The Averitt Center for the Arts (ACA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the arts and arts education in Bulloch and surrounding counties. Formed in 2004 as The Statesboro Arts Council, it was renamed to reflect its growing reach in the area.

Camps run throughout the summer started on May 28th and conclude July 27th.
