Prayer in the Park for Schools

 

Celia Holt has organized a community-wide prayer event for the upcoming school year. The prayer event will be held August 1 at 7:30 pm at Dowdy Park in Summerville .

She says the idea came about because, “a friend of mine who is an administrator at another school system has always walked the hallways and rooms of the school he works the day before returning for the school teachers, support staff and students and I have always thought that was an awesome thing to do. During my quiet time I just felt like God was telling me “ you can have that here, just reach out to some contacts and get that coordinated for your local schools”. So, I did. Everyone has been very supportive and helpful and things are coming together. I’m really excited to see what God can do with our willingness and for our school systems.”
