Voters must select between a Democratic, Nonpartisan, or Republican Ballot for the May 21, 2024 General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election. We want to remind voters to review the sample ballots carefully to ensure they select the ballot they want on the Poll Pad or their Absentee Ballot Application when requesting a ballot. The Nonpartisan General and Special Election appears on all three ballots, however the Democratic Primary only appears on the Democratic ballot and the Republican Primary only appears on the Republican ballot.
If voters are wishing to vote for the contested county commissioner, coroner, or state senate they must select a Republican ballot.
Voters are more than welcome to bring a marked sample ballot or list of candidates with them into the voting booth to help them vote more quickly. A marked sample ballot may be used for personal use but may not be distributed to another voter. Voters may obtain a sample ballot from the My Voter Page (mvp.sos.ga.gov) or the Registrars Office. Copies of the sample ballots are also posted in the Registrars Office.
Sample ballots are available in the Registrars Office for review prior to Election Day and inside each polling location on May 21 if you’re unsure which ballot you want. You may also view sample ballots on the My Voter Page (mvp.sos.ga.gov)
