AdventHealth offers affordable and advanced breast cancer screening with 30-minute, 3D-screening mammograms for $30 for patients without insurance who qualify.
Annual mammograms are still the top-recommended screening for women because they can detect issues before symptoms appear. Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women in the U.S.
The $30 mammograms can only be scheduled for May. The special price is for patients aged 40 and older without insurance coverage who have not had a mammogram in at least a year and a day.
Appointments at the AdventHealth Redmond Women’s Center can be made by calling 800-776-5102 or visiting the website www.GetYourMammoGA.com.
Catching breast cancer early means therapies and treatments will be the most effective.
AdventHealth Redmond health officials recommend that women begin getting mammograms at age 40 — or earlier if there is a family history of breast cancer. Those between the ages of 20 and 40 should have a clinical breast exam by a doctor every three years.
