Free Groceries are available from the drive thru pantry, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12 pm-4 pm. Families in Chattooga County that need assistance are welcome to visit once a month. With the extra pandemic EBT funds ending last month here in Georgia, more families may need assistance to make ends meet.

Esther Manor is also home to Flourish Foster Care Closet And Support, Inc. Flourish will provide a free boutique shopping experience for the foster youth and their families in Chattooga and surrounding counties. In addition to new or like new clothes, Flourish will also be able to help supply foster families with children’s furniture and other items as it becomes available.

Flourish will also hold support group meetings for foster and adoptive parents.

In the future Esther Manor will also be home to young women 18-25 that have aged out of the foster care system or are homeless. The Esther Manor housing program will provide a safe, stable, and encouraging place for young women.

Residents will be allowed to stay for up to two years. During that time, the responsibility of the resident will increase until they are prepared to transition into the community. As preparations begin for the housing section Esther Manor will be looking for volunteers to be mentors, financial advisors, and meal planning guides to help teach the young women independence.

The organization released the following statement:

“We would not be where we are now without a lot of help. David Romine has been the backbone of this transition lending help and advice all along the way. We would not be this far down the journey if he was not helping us navigate it. Bryant and Sons, Marvins, Lowe’s and Home Depot donated building and painting supplies to help us get in the door. BJ Gamble and Michael Bevel have been instrumental in getting our walk-in cooler and freezer installed at the new building.

Shannon Tucker with HIS Roofing has fixed one of our many roofing issues. Ricky Dover has been helping us figure out all our plumbing issues. Son Rise Church as well as Connect City Church and their partners have put in a great deal of hard work, mowing, painting, and even cleaning up trash. Thank you all for your help.

It takes funds for all of this to happen and to keep food going out the door to needy families. Therefore, we would like to take a moment and list those that have contributed to CRC Chattooga during this transition period.”
