Obituary: Mrs. Christy Lynette (Parris) West

Mrs. Christy Lynette Parris West, age 54, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Atrium Health Floyd.

Mrs. West was born April 14, 1969, in Rome, GA, daughter of Danny Parris and Nancy Rebecca Schrader Imes.  She was a retired Program Assistant with the State of Georgia Juvenile Probation Office.  Mrs. West was a huge supporter of the Toys for Tots Program.

Mrs. West was preceded in death by a daughter, Montana Miller; and an aunt, Beverly Saylors.

Survivors include her husband, Randy West; son, Tyler Smoker; daughters, Jessi (Nikki) West, Mary Beth West; mother and step-father, Nancy (Mark) Imes; father, Danny Parris; brothers, Donnie Parris, Frank Parris; special niece, Shawna Alexander; special great-niece and great-nephew, Ayla Alexander and Chamber Alexander.

Funeral services for Mrs. West will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 20, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jody Brock officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mike Pruitt, Ricky Sumner, Ricky Hammonds, Jerry Hammonds, Aaron Alexander, II, Casey Mann, Kenneth Vaughn, and Kevin Vaughn.

Mrs. West will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Sunday.
