The City of Summerville has connected to Chattooga Well #7 to provide a section of our water distribution system that is not effected by the EPD PFOA/PFOS Water Advisory, by providing water from the City’s Lowe Spring Plant, and Chattooga Well #7.

Chattooga County Water District has notified the City of Summerville that corrective measures have been taken for Chattooga County Well #7 and the previous boil water advisory was lifted by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).

The City of Summerville intends to supply water from Chattooga County until the EPD PFOA/PFOS Water Advisory has been resolved.

Updates regarding the EPD PFOA/PFOS Water Advisory can be found at https://www.summervillega.org/water-advisory/ and through local media outlets.
