Region One FCCLA Officer Dowdy Conducts Workshop at Leadership Rally

This past week, Trion High Schools FCCLA officer and club advisor Merri Blankenship travelled to Covington, Georgia for the FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference. This event lasted from Tuesday to Wednesday and consisted of team building training, games, and workshops.

These workshops included leadership sessions, life after highschool, strengthening public relations and many other topics FCCLA believes can positively impact students and teenagers. Trion student Amory Dowdy, ran a workshop, which consisted of three sessions regarding the FCCLA national project “Power Of 1.” Amory is the Trion FCCLA president as well as a region officer.

This year’s Fall Leadership Conference theme was “Growing Leaders,” which focused on the personal growth of the members with the intent of helping them in their future occupation.

Amory stated, “This event was a great opportunity and a good learning experience. I had fun running my workshop and I met a lot of great people! I can’t wait for the events to come and participate in this amazing club!” Trion High School is so proud of Amory and all FCCLA participants and is excited to see the growth of this program!
