Kolby Allard threw six scoreless innings Saturday night at Hickory, giving himself a 19th birthday gift in his second win of the season for Rome. He kept the Crawdads scoreless, allowing only four hits, and walking two while striking out nine.
Jon Kennedy gave up two runs in the seventh during his two innings of work, but Chase Johnson-Mullins allowed only one hit to close the game out for the Braves in the ninth.
The story of the night was Jonathan Morales who had a perfect 5-for-5 night at the plate, with two runs and an RBI.
Wigberto Nevarez drove in three runs of his own, going 1-for-4 with a double and a walk, while Jared James, Carlos Castro, and Yeudi Grullon each had an RBI apiece.
