As the softball season comes to a close, the Lady Indians celebrate their victories and improvements over the past months. The girls started with a fairly experienced team and worked long hours during the summer. The girls worked tirelessly toward honing their skills so that when the time came to start their first games they would be ready. And they were! Starting out the season strong they won against Christian Heritage 7-3. Though after that big win the girls took a tough loss against Gordan Lee and Dade County. The Lady Indians continued to persevere and played a grueling game against Fannin County. While they lost this game the girls played wonderfully and continued to hold their heads high. After a few tough losses the Indians came back and won against Coosa with a whopping 14-0 score! After the win they were beaten by Armuchee and Adairsville but came back swinging when they won against Gordon Central with a 16-0 score. Emily Hines, a CHS sophomore, pitched a perfect game against them and was recognized on November 8th. Rounding out the season they played a tough match against Bremen High School and ended up losing despite their tireless effort. The team got together on November 7th to celebrate the season and honor the amazing players at their banquet!
