The Menlo 12U Tigers roared their way to victory this past weekend, claiming the title of NCS Alabama State Champions—and they did it in style, going undefeated throughout the tournament!
This championship marks a special moment for several of the Tigers. For Ty Covington, Braydon Lea, Will Maddux, Caedmon Harris, Stetson Peppers, and Zayden Brown, it was the final time suiting up in a Menlo Tigers jersey as they age out of recreation league play. Ending their Menlo rec journey with a state title is a storybook finish for these young athletes who’ve given their all to the game and their community.
The full championship team also includes standout players Josh Durham, Clovis Fisher, AJ Smith, Brycen Underwood, Kaysin Hickerson, and Larkin Manning—each of whom played a vital role in the Tigers’ dominant tournament run.
Guided by dedicated coaches Wes Maddux and Barry Peppers, the Tigers showcased teamwork, grit, and sportsmanship at every turn.
Congratulations to the Menlo 12U Tigers—your hard work, heart, and hustle have made your community proud!
