A blown save, and a sluggish offensive outing cost the Rome Braves a win Friday night, losing to the Greensboro Grasshoppers 4-2 at State Mutual Stadium.
Ricardo Sanchez got the Braves off on the right foot with 5.2 innings of work, giving up only one run on three hits. Â The recorded five strikeouts, walking three batters. Â Oriel Caicedo came in for the final 3.1 innings of the game, but gave up three runs. Â He was charged with the loss, and a blown save in the game.
Carlos Castro was the star of the show in an otherwise slow offensive night for Rome, going two-for-three, both hits solo homers.
