Rome pitchers throw combined shutout, beat Drive 4-0

Ricardo Sanchez picked up the win in Wednesday’s afternoon game at State Mutual Stadium, combining with Jones, O’Flaherty, and Graham for a 4-0 shutout over Greenville. In nine innings, the Braves staff combined for no runs on eight hits, walking three and striking out eight batters.

On the offensive side of the ball, Leudys Baez went two-for-three on the day.   Second baseman Yeudi Grullon drove in two of the Braves four runs.  Justin Ellison, and Alejandro Salazar combined for the other two RBIs.
