The cheerleaders have been training hard and adding extra practices into their schedule in hopes of perfecting their routine. The girls went out on the mat Saturday and gave it their best, but fell only points short of the win. Although Trion doesn’t compete against Hebron Christian at the state competition, Hebron came out with the win at Peachtree Ridge.

The girls were hoping for first, but they were pleased with some of the improvements they made this week.

Junior Bailey Del Favero commented, ”Considering the large amount of challenges our team has been faced with over the past couple of weeks, I am very proud of the outcome from this competition, and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for our team.”

Saturday, October 26th, the THS competition cheerleaders traveled to Cartersville High School to compete in their fourth competition of the season.

The girls only competed against one other team, Mount Paran Christian Academy, but unfortunately fell short of the first place position. The girls were still confident in their performance because they scored higher than they have all season; Also, Mount Paran is a private school so Trion doesn’t compete against them at the State Competition anyways.

Although the cheerleaders came in second this past weekend, they were really proud of their performance. The scores from last week compared to this week improved 37 point.

Senior Destinee Drennan stated, “I’m so proud of my team and our accomplishments this weekend. I think this competition showed all the girls that we are capable of doing great things, and that it lit a fire under everyone to do their best!”

The cheerleaders compete at Dalton High School this Saturday; Everyone is encouraged to come out and support the girls.
