State Board of Education Member Jason Downey to Host 8th District Public Hearing April 19

The 8th Congressional District includes Atkinson, Ben Hill, Berrien, Bleckley, Brooks, Colquitt, Cook, Dodge, Houston, Irwin, Jones, Lanier, Monroe, Pulaski, Telfair, Thomas, Tift, Turner, Twiggs, Wilcox, Wilkinson, and Worth counties along with potions of Bibb and Lowndes counties.

State Board of Education member Jason Downey will hold a public hearing for citizens in the 8th Congressional District on Tuesday, April 19, 7:00 – 8:00 pm. The hearing will be held at Gray Station Middle School, located at 324 GA Highway 18 East.

The purpose of the hearing is to hear comments from interested citizens and educators within the congressional district regarding K-12 public education.
