HB 930, which was covered in depth by Senator Michael Dugan here, moved on to the Governor’s Desk on the last day of the 2018 Legislative Session.
The bill would change the name of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority to the Atlanta-region Transit Link “ATL” authority. This newly created authority would cover 13 Metro Atlanta counties, including Douglas. Through a countywide referendum, counties would decide whether they should allow a TSPLOST to fund statewide transportation projects such as rail and busses.
