A Gordon County native made up half of this year’s Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships doubles winner in Florida, bringing home a first place trophy.
McCartney Kessler, of Calhoun, along with her partner from Atlanta, Emma Kurtz, competed in the tournament this month in the Girls 16 division, and won.
Kessler is a Calhoun High student, helping the Lady Jackets to a region title, and a Final Four appearance this past season.
