Jared James played the hero with a 10th inning RBI to help the red-hot Rome Braves to their fourth straight win in a 3-2 victory over Hickory Friday night.
James went 2-for-5 in the game, including his two-out double that scored Ray-Patrick Didder for the winning run.
Another offensive hero in the game was white-hot Austin Riley, who homered twice in his first two times up in the game, and the second was his fourth homer in his last four at bats. Riley went 2-for-3 in the game with two homers, two runs, two RBIs and two walks.
Touki Toussaint had a solid start, giving up only one run on three hits in five innings. He struck out five and walked only one batter.
Grayson Jones gave up a run, earning him his second blown save of the season, leading to an opportunity for Corbin Clouse to pick up his fourth win of the year, moving him to 4-0. He struck out four batters in 2.2 innings of work. Devan Watts got his sixth save of the season.
