Raffi Vizcaino allowed just four hits over seven innings, leading the Augusta GreenJackets over the Rome Braves in a 7-2 win on Saturday.
Vizcaino (1-0) allowed two runs while striking out eight to get the win.
Augusta took the lead in the first when it crossed the plate for three runs, including a single by Jean Angomas that scored Bryan Reynolds.
The GreenJackets later added three runs in the second and one in the ninth. In the second, Reynolds and Matt Winn hit RBI singles, while Winn hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Reynolds in the ninth.
Williams Perez (0-1) went three innings, allowing six runs and seven hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out two and walked two.
Augusta improved to 12-5 against Rome this season.
