Weigel picks up 5th win as Rome beats Charleston 11-5

Starter Patrick Weigel picked up his fifth win of the season Sunday at State Mutual Stadium, giving up three runs on seven hits – one home run – striking out six batters in six innings of work.

Dalton Geekie gave up another two runs in relief, but it wouldn’t be enough for the Riverdogs in a 11-5 Braves win.

All but two batters had runs for the Braves.  Justin Ellison went two-for-two with two runs, and two RBI’s on the day for the Braves
