A brand of infant formula sold exclusively at Walmart is being voluntarily recalled after it was determined the formula could be contaminated with metal.
The Perrigo Company announced this weekend that it is issuing a voluntary nationwide recall of 35-ounce, 992-gram containers of Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron. The company said in a press release that “the product, sold exclusively at Walmart, is being recalled because of the potential presence of metal foreign matter in a single lot of the product (C26EVFV).”
Currently, it is believed that more than 23,000 containers are impacted by the recall.
As of Sunday evening, no illness or adverse events had been reported and Perrigo says the recall is ‘out of an abundance of caution stemming from a consumer report.” No other reports are affected by the recall at this time.
